Improve your ability to communicate with legislators about redistricting reform and SR 52, the Democracy Act. This orientation will be held on March 1, 2019 at the Coverdell Legislative Office Building (CLOB) from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. Topics will include the following presentations:
*Talking with Legislators and Making Effective Use of Ropeline Conversations: Advice for Citizen Lobbyists--Representative Bee Nguyen
*The Senate Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee—Senator Jen Jordan
*Advocating for Support: the Democracy Act Pledge—Stephanie Ali, ACLU-GA
*Joining an FDGA Citizen Lobbyist Team: the FDGA Adopt-a-Legislator Program--Pat Byrd, FDGA
Please arrive by 8:30 AM for check-in and registration. The program will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. We hope to see you there!
