Join former U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., for a conversation with The Harkin Institute for Pubilc Policy & Citizen Engagement on February 12, 2019. Holder will join Marsha Ternus, former Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court, for a discussion on redistricting, voting rights and the national law enforcement apparatus.

Holder served as Attorney General of the United States from February 2009 to April 2015 under President Barack Obama. Holder is a partner at Covington & Burling LLP, where he advises clients on complex investigations and litigation matters, including those that are international in scope and involve significant regulatory enforcement issues and substantial reputational concerns. Additionally, Holder serves as Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, an organization focused on redistricting reform.

Ternus is chairwoman of The Harkin Institute's National Advisory Council and a Drake Law School alumna.

1. Private Reception and Premium Seating
For $100, enjoy access to a private reception with former Attorney General Eric Holder, Marsha Ternus, and Harkin Institute Executive Director Joseph Jones. Complimentary hors d'oerves, wine, and beer will be served, and you will have a reserved front section seat at the lecture. A limited number of these tickets are available and proceeds will benefit The Harkin Institute's D.C. Experience Scholarship, which provides support for Drake University students with financial need who are pursuing summer internships in Washington, D.C.

2. General Admission
General admission tickets to the lecture are free but registration is required. Plan to arrive early to ensure a seat.

The Olmsted Parking Lot at 2875 University Ave., is the closest parking lot to the venue and is recommended for your use. A parking permit is required and can be purchased online. Directions to Drake and information about parking is available on the campus map. There is also free on-street parking on University Avenue.
