2018 was an important year for redistricting reform with voters in critical states (Colorado, Michigan, Utah and Missouri) approving ballot initiatives that create citizen’s redistricting commissions and Ohio passing a law creating a citizens redistricting commission earlier in the year. Over one-third of Americans now live in states that use citizen redistricting commissions to draw congressional boundary lines. However, with key tenets of representative democracy continually being undermined by gerrymandering it is imperative to continue building on this momentum and dramatically increase the number of legislative districts drawn using commissions.

The Terminate Gerrymandering Summit will consist of keynote speeches, fireside chats and panel discussions featuring key players in the redistricting reform movement with the ultimate goal of creating fairer elections.
